Board of Directors

The School Board is composed of five citizens elected by district voters for four-year terms. The Board is responsible for establishing general policy, employing school district personnel, selecting and evaluating the Superintendent, adopting and revising the annual operating budget, providing the necessary facilities, and informing the public of the needs and progress of the educational system.

School Board Meetings are usually held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the Griffin School Library. For the 2014-15 school year, the Board will also be conducting several work session meetings that will be open to the public. However, no public comment will be heard at work sessions. These meetings will also start at 6:00 p.m. See calendar pages for specific meeting dates.
